the eponymous diary of a New York youth

Thomas Engel Hart came of age in New York of the late 1990s, a part of the Pyramid Club/East Village/Lower East Side art scene.

He started working for Andre Walker while still in school and moved on to Veronique Leroy right after. Upon leaving Veronique Leroy in 2001 he started his men's collection, for which there was an immediate strong response, appearing in publications such as Dazed, Another, and V. Thomas Engel Hart is an integral part of the new menswear revolution. He was awarded the ANDAM prize in 2002.

Since 2008, Thomas Engel Hart is back with his eponymous line, described as "the kind of designer who likes to spend time creating high-end tailoring for a small and stylish clientele".

I'm loving these menswear. It seems he mixed british punk accents with L.A. street scenes.
