A while ago I went to a bachelorette party and I designed the staff's costumes as well as the bachelorette's... I made them too. Here are some pictures of that night..

Gipsy night..

1 done.. 8 more to go...

I'm finally done with the mad hater costume. My client wanted a girly version of the one in the cartoon, not the one Johnny Depp's wearing on the actual movie.. so I came up with this...

The only thing missing's the hat, which my client already has..
Halloween countdown: 1 costume done.. 8 more to go!

it's not a party until I'm drunk enough to fall down in front of everyone

I had a blast on my birthday last wednesday... I turned 24! I can't believe it..

I wore a black chiffon see-through blouse I had made some time ago.. it has a detail on the back.. the skin kind of shows because it ties up only with a button on the back of the neck; and the front of the blouse has 3 big ruffles.
I paired it up with a super tight black and white skirt I got on H & M.. black heels, one big black earing, black leather bracelets I made, black eye shadow, etc...

It's not a party until a drunk person falls down in front of everybody... in this case, it was me.
Thanks!

sneak peek: mad hatter costume

Here are some pictures of the costume I'm making at the moment.. I mentioned it before on previous posts.. http://littlemoonlover.blogspot.com/2010/09/currently-working-on-mad-hater.html, there you'll see the full sketch... I'm liking the way is turning out.. so far I've finished the cropped jacket and the strapless heart shaped top that looks like a vest underneath the jacket... tomorrow I'll start the shorts and I'm done!

Halloween is just a month away!

vivienne westwood red label 2011

Have any of you caught sight of Vivienne Westwood's 2011 collection?... it's just marvelous!

Filled with crazy prints, mostly tartans.. for spring! (how cool is that?), bright and dark colors, ruffles and geometric shapes; dresses, skirts, tailored pants and one piece body suits; Vivienne did it again.

Most of the time I find Vivienne Westwood collections a bit messy.. in a good way though. I hardly find a connection between the clothes I'm watching go out into the runway... it's like they are meant for diferent people.. a clash of emotions translated into the clothes. Feels like Vivienne designs according her mood; if she's feeling playful, dark or down one day.. it shows in her work, and at the end, she just mixes all these things up and the result is a lunatic genious milkshake of magnificent fashion. And on top of that, she always manages to make a fun show, which means awesome background music, killer make-up and a kick-ass attitude from her models.

I got these pictures from style.com where you'll find the complete collection.

My favourite look was the very first one that came out on the runway. Check out the jacket, the geometric shaped top, the tailored skinny pants.... gosh, I want it.

currently working on: the mad hater

Obviously Halloween is just around the corner.. otherwise I woudln't be seeing costumes and Halloween early decorations on the window displays of different stores at the mall; Halloween candy being sold at grocery stores or getting phone calls of several girls asking me to design and make a costume for them.. yeay!

Not only Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, I always love to go big on my costume... but I also like to design and make them for other people. It's not even october and I'm already starting to sew costumes... the first one: the mad hater.

A friend of mine asked me to design her a girly Mad Hater outfit.. I came up with 2 options, she chose one. These are the sketches...

Are you thinking about your Halloween costume already too?

the naked truth

Amazing spread of photographs on this month's Vogue Japan issue. Clearly this is what happens when you get Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson in the same room.... marvelous!
